Your data

Delete your account

You can close your One Touch Football account from inside the app, or ask us to do it for you. This page explains both routes and what happens to your data afterwards.

01Delete it in the app

The quickest route takes under a minute.

  • Open One Touch Football and sign in.
  • Go to Settings from your profile.
  • Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
  • Confirm. You are signed out straight away.

Your account is closed the moment you confirm. Your profile, posts, Call-Outs and comments stop appearing anywhere in the app, and other people can no longer find you in search or message you.

02Ask us to delete it

If you cannot sign in, or you would rather not use the app, email mydata@onetouchfootball.app from the address on your account and ask us to delete it.

We will confirm your identity before we act, so that nobody can close your account on your behalf. We respond within 30 days, and usually much sooner.

03What we delete

Within 30 days of your account closing, we erase the personal data we hold about you:

  • Your name, username, email address, phone number and date of birth.
  • Your profile: photo, bio, positions, playing level, height and weight.
  • Your posts, Call-Out clips, highlights, photos and videos.
  • Your comments, reactions, poll votes and trivia scores.
  • Your direct messages, including the copies held in other people's inboxes.
  • Your badges, trophies, endorsements and team memberships.
  • Your push notification tokens and notification history.
  • Your analytics records, which we delete from our analytics provider on the same schedule.

04What we keep, and for how long

A small amount of data outlives the account, because the law requires it or because deleting it would harm someone else:

  • Moderation records, where you were reported or where you reported someone else, kept for two years so that we can keep repeat offenders off the platform.
  • Records of any payment, kept for seven years to meet UK tax and accounting law.
  • Content another member posted that happens to mention you, such as a reply on a Call-Out you started, which stays with its author. Ask us and we will remove your name from it.
  • Server backups, which are overwritten on a rolling 35-day cycle. Your data is unreachable in the app from the moment you delete, and leaves the backups when the cycle completes.

05If you are under 18

A parent or guardian can ask us to delete a young player's account at any time, whether or not they set it up. Email mydata@onetouchfootball.app and tell us the player's username. We do not require the young person's consent to act on a parent or guardian request.

06Deletion is permanent

There is no undo, and no way to reopen a closed account. Your username is released and someone else may take it. If you want to come back later, you will need to sign up again and build your profile from scratch.
